We have been left feeling, like so many, that we want to help those devastated by the Turkey / Syria earthquake but are unsure how. We have been researching at the best way we can ensure donations are best used. Our research has led us to the War Child effort.
War Child has been actively working in Syria since 2012, responding to the conflict-driven crisis. It has now been reported that over 40,000 lives have been lost due to the earthquakes that hit Turkey & Syria on Monday 6th February. The secondary impact of these devastating earthquakes will be far greater in Syria, due to compounding needs of the ongoing conflict, damage to already fragile health, water and sanitation infrastructure and disrupted supply lines coming from Turkey.
War Child is ensuring that vital protection services, psychological first aid and psychological support are available to the thousands of children and families who are now at severe risk.
We have created a brief four pack and sweatshirt with proceeds going to War Child. The proceeds from these sales will be going directly to the charity.
